 In an attempt to grace the local music industry, Meria Aires or better known as Maria, a popular local teenaged singer under Starmeez Event Management label, had a press conference meeting for the launching of Maria’s first album, ‘Sesaat Kau Hadir’.
On the press conference on 17th May 2009, which began with an introductory speech by Maria’s manager was followed by a video presentation of Maria’s success, which was then followed by a Q&A session with the local media.

 A well-known local singer, Meria Aires or better known as Maria, launched her first ever solo album. The event was held at the Airport restaurant in Berakas.
The new album dubbed "Sesaat Kau Hadir" will be launched on Saturday, May 23 at the Atrium Hall of the Mall in Gadong.
Maria, who is currently studying as a Form six student ,has a number of outstanding credentials in the music industry.
She released her first album in 2005 (Maria And Destine) and achieved many awards throughout her singing career.
Gradually in 2006, Maria performed in a rhapsody between RTB and Mediacorp (Singapore) and in 2006/2007 for two years in a row, she was chosen and was awarded as the Best Female Vocalist and Artist of the year by 'Anugerah Pelangi'.

 For the first time, an Anugerah Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB) Media Carnival will centre around the state broadcaster's annual awards night. This was announced yesterday during a signing ceremony that was held yesterday at the new RTB complex located in Jalan Sungai Akar.
Following the success of last year's awards night, RTB has once again partnered with Cityneon Displays and Construction Sdn Bhd to organise the next Anugerah RTB, that would be held in the midst of the RTB Media Carnival from 14 February to 17 February 2009.
The ceremony marked RTB's cooperation with Cityneon for the Media Carnival and the Brunei International Trade and Consumer (BITC) Exhibition 2009, which will coincide with the Media Carnival from 12 February to 15 February 2009.
As the chairman of the Anugerah RTB Media Carnival, Hj Kamarul Azam Hj Mohamad, who is the state broadcaster's special grade administrative officer outlined the significance of the agreement signing as a milestone in the area of public and private partnership.
